"If it don't feel like 90's Rnb..." is an art experience about defining love. Drawing from nostalgic 90's inspiration, it explores the nuance and vulnerability of a healthy love. This project gave me permission to fantasize and share a fictional love story through my camera lens. as we follow a fictional couple played by AR Stockett & Isaiah Lewis through their journey of releasing baggage and embracing one another. Common themes throughout the imagery are baggage, connection, and reflection. These elements are included to urge viewers to have new conversations about the baggage we carry, our sometimes distorted self image, and the way we connect to one another. Each piece is titled after a 90's Rnb song.
